i work for nafs. almost everyone on here is a debtor complaining about having to pay back the loans they took out. this crisis we are in is partly your fault. YOU are the sub prime market. the banks "banked" on peoples good intentions and you all skrewed them which is why you were sub prime in the first place. stop pointing fingers stop running away from your bills old or new and be a man(or woman) and take some responsibility for your actions. yes you had a reposesion it happens but you still owe the bank for the loan. pay them even if it is 50/m pay them

To the "NAFS employee" learn to spell if you are going to sit on here and say people don't deserve respect. (if you "barrowed"; Take some responsability). I believe it is "borrowed" and,"responsibility". And please don't act like you know about the fdcpa because you are obviously very ignorant to its purpose in your "speech". I don't owe anything to a debt collector and I am getting calls from this sham company as well saying they bought a debt of mine from 1995(that would have made me about um....14 years old and i had credit card debt....dont think so.

NAFS called my home after probably a dozen calls where the connection terminates upon answering the phone.

One of the CSR (Sam Poleski) harassed my two children (one with ADHD who answered the phone to 'help' his big sister) in an attempt to intimidate them into providing phone numbers that obviously NAFS were not privy to previously. When I called back, I get a BS recording to leave a message. Here's a hint, kiddies - my time is JUST as valuable as yours if not more valuable.

I ask simply that they contact my mail before they begin calling me. I have yet to receive anything from them.

Abusing my kids s my JOB, anyone else that abuses my kids negates any obligation for me to have any modicum of civility.

Enuff said.

Primarily, I would like to state NAFS is a collections agency. This means the people being called are no longer customers they are debtors who signed a contract stating they would pay something back. Are you people seriously so dillusional you think you need to be treated with respect. Also, I'm fairly certain the fdcpa states you can and are able to call a persons home phone, work phone, and any phone associated with them (cell phone) one time per day. That is an actual contact... for your information that means if they call and dont leave a message or dont speak with you or another individual at what ever number they are calling they can call you again. So why don't every one of you on here "***" realize that, in fact, the statement made by Zeebo above is correct. You are responsible for the financial crisis occuring in the economy and if a company is calling you every day based on phone numbers and information, provided for them or found, then deal with it. Seriously, if you "barrowed" 10 thousand from your family and just decided not to pay it back do you think they would be giving you the same courtesy you are suggesting and asking for? Take some responsability for you actions, quit complaining about the fact that your being called to pay back money you already spent, and maybe try reading the contracts your signing before getting a credit card or getting a vehicle loan. If you owed me $300, $3000, or $30,000 everyone the people on here would be sued already. So how about if you are that annoyed you actually pick up the phone, call back, and either pay your bill or tell them it's a wrong number and give the person on the other line a correct number (I'm fairly certain about 75% of the people getting called are a family number and know a number). If that person is willing to give your number why can't you give theirs? In essence, get over yourselves, know the laws if you are going to be complaining, and the most important take responsabilities for your own actions and pay back what you owe.

listen you get the respect you give. if you call me screaming and swearing about marshall maxwell calling im not marshall and im not going to be polite im not going to be nice. put yourself in not only my shoes but my clients shoes. if i owed you money and i call you screaming about you harasing me about the money i owe you?? that seems backwards to me. we understand s**t happens its how you approce the situation and what you do to correct it.
